Community rules
How the WhereCare community works
WhereCare is meant to help caregivers share reliable, practical information. These rules are intentionally direct: be accurate, be kind, and do not use the app to harass people or post made-up reports.
What belongs in the app
- Places you have personally checked or can describe accurately.
- Helpful notes about where amenities are inside a building.
- Honest confirmations, disputes, and review comments.
What does not belong in the app
- Fake places, spam, trolling, or intentionally misleading reports.
- Personal attacks, profanity aimed at other users, or harassment.
- Private personal information about staff, families, or children.
- Any photo containing a person, or any part of one. A face, a hand, a foot, a stray fingertip at the edge of the frame, a reflection in a mirror — all of it is removed. There are no exceptions: not for your own family, not for someone who said it was fine, not for a shot that is otherwise useful. If anyone else is in the room, do not take the photo. Wait until it is empty, or skip the photo — a written description helps plenty on its own.
- Images or text you do not have permission to share.
How community verification works
Users can confirm or dispute whether a place is still accurate. Repeated community disagreement can flag a record as disputed. Admins can review edge cases and manually confirm, dispute, or archive records when needed.
Admin expectations
Admins should only use moderation powers to protect accuracy, safety, and clarity. Role badges are not meant to intimidate users or settle personal arguments.
